Michael J. Pitts
Michael J. Pitts is a hands-on, visionary industry leader with years of experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating complex event and destination management strategies and systems. A professional with extraordinary industry knowledge and integrity, Mr. Pitts's is known for his intuitive flexibility, innate enthusiasm and collaborative leadership style. Highly skilled in administering budgets from $1 million to $20 million, Mr. Pitts' operational experience includes recruiting, training and supervising event and transportation staffs of 50-6,000 individuals and managing transportation fleets of 250 to 7000 vehicles. Often leading operations, events and projects in politically sensitive settings, Mr. Pitts is well-versed in federal, state and county security/law enforcement regulations, sponsor relations and availability, property acquisition protocol, contract negotiation and management, vehicle acquisition, allocation and asset recovery. A graduate of Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas, Mr. Pitts served as Director of Operations for "Voices" a forum at the United Nation Conference in Durban, South Africa. He was Director of Operations for NATO's 50h Anniversary Summit and Field Director for the 1998 Texas Coordinated Campaigns. In 1994. Mr. Pitts was appointed Country Director for the National Democratic Institute in Malawi.
